Terradon Turquoise Contrast paints are a great way to paint models super fast. They are specially designed in such a way to paint and shade the models in one layer of blue-green paint, which speeds up the painting process considerably.
Contrast paint can be applied to the model in three different stages. Applying an initial all-over color, painting darker colors over it, and finally lighter contrast colors to finish it off.
The most important thing when using contrast paints is to determine what undercoat you are using, as contrast paints only work over a light undercoat. The Grey Seer and Wraithbone sprays are both specifically designed with contrast use in mind.
The initial Terradon Turquoise layer determines the color of the model. Apply this blue-green color directly to the model with quick movements. Within 30 minutes the paint will be completely dry and you can no longer make adjustments and it will give the smoothest result.
The second layer will be the dark layer. Now the dark contrast paints have a higher pigmentation and therefore go over the top very easily.
The third layer will be the lighter layer. Now the lighter contrast paints do not go easily over the darker ones, so we have to apply the original Terradon Turquoise color over it again. Finally, the lighter color can be applied.
