The strength, hardness and coverage of Model Air is superior to all known acrylic paints for airbrushing. This chrome paint consists of very fine pigments and an acrylic resin with properties of extreme strength and durability. Model Air is a liquid acrylic paint specially developed for airbrush techniques available in an extensive range of colors.
Colors can be mixed, Model Air Thinner, with water or any medium such as varnish, to get the desired effect. However, we recommend the use of Model Air Thinner, as this product retains the properties of the medium and colors. The revolutionary process to obtain the pigments used in the Model Air formula ensures that it has the most beautiful texture for applying the colors to a model. The pigments used for this chrome airbrush color must be specially milled to achieve the best possible consistency to prevent airbrush clogging. Model Air adheres extremely well to all surfaces. Once the chrome paint is protected with varnish (Gloss, Matte or Satin), Model Air can be painted over with solvent-based paints such as enamels or oil paints. The paint also delivers great quality when applying with a brush for the smallest details, washes and inks and is extremely suitable for a layered application such as a glaze. It can of course always happen that the opening sometimes gets a bit clogged. You can easily solve this by clearing the opening again with a needle or a thin cocktail stick.
